Abstract: Since the zero-IF architecture is attractive for its numerous advantages, the work presented here has its focus on direct conversion (zero-IF) receiver front-end architecture for the wideband code division multiple access (W-CDMA), frequency domain duplex (FDD) operation mode, where a full system-level design for the user equipment (UE) is performed. According to the RF requirements for the FDD mode, the used components used in the system are to be fetched and engineered. Performance analysis and simulation of the over all systems are achieved. The final system can be used in 3G mobile phones.
